Moffic Chosen to Receive 2 Awards by American Psychiatric Association

H. Steven Moffic, MD, a psychiatrist known for his work in cultural and ethical psychiatry and a 1971 Yale School of Medicine graduate, will be honored with two awards at the American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting May 16-20 in San Francisco.

Moffic was chosen to receive the Oskar Pfister Award for contributions to religion, spirituality, and psychiatry. He will give a lecture on May 16 about four books on psychiatry and religion that he edited.

He also will receive the Senior Psychiatrists Benson Award for significant contributions to psychiatry. The award will be presented at a luncheon May 17.
