The Yale Cannabis Research Centers' November webinar, “The Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics of Acute Delta-8-THC Exposure,” will feature Ryan G. Vandrey, PhD, Professor at the Johns Hopkins University Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit and co-leader of the Cannabis Science Lab. Dr. Vandrey is a leading researcher in cannabis pharmacology, with expertise spanning drug administration routes, cannabinoid composition, and cannabis-drug interactions.

In this session, Dr. Vandrey will present findings from controlled human laboratory studies examining the effects of delta-8-THC on subjective experiences, cognitive performance, simulated driving ability, and drug testing outcomes. Comparisons with both placebo and delta-9-THC will highlight key similarities and differences in how these cannabinoids act in the body. He will also discuss broader implications for drug policy, public health, and education.
