Yale Center for the Science of Cannabis and Cannabinoids Webinar

"Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome: Harm, Hope, or Hype? Lessons in the Era of Legalization"

Join us for the March YC-SCAN² webinar, Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome: Does cannabis land you in hot water? Harm, Hope, or Hype? Lessons in the era of legalization with Dr. Thangam Venkatesan. Cannabis use has risen substantially with expanding legalization, yet its gastrointestinal consequences remain incompletely understood. Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS) is characterized by recurrent episodes of severe nausea and vomiting in the setting of chronic cannabis use. In this presentation, Dr. Thangam Venkatesan will review the clinical features, diagnostic criteria, and proposed pathophysiologic mechanisms of CHS, highlighting key similarities and distinctions from cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS) and summarize current evidence.
