Biography

Weikang Shi is an NIMH K99 Postdoctoral Fellow at Yale University working with Drs. Steve Chang, Anirvan Nandy, and Monika Jadi. His research investigates the neural mechanisms of strategic prosocial decisions, combining naturalistic behavioral paradigms, large-scale wireless neural recordings, and computational modeling to build a circuit-level understanding of how the cortico-striatal pathway generates cooperative behavior. He completed his PhD at Washington University in St. Louis with Dr. Camillo Padoa-Schioppa, where he established causal links between orbitofrontal cortex activity and economic choice.
