Department of Surgery Administrative Leaders Recognized for Excellence

The Department of Surgery has updated the titles of several members of its administrative leadership and management team to reflect the scope, complexity, and impact of their work supporting the department’s clinical, research, and education missions.

Reporting to Director of Administration Claudia Chujoy, MHA, this team helps guide day-to-day operations and strategic priorities for more than 700 faculty, residents, researchers, and clinical and administrative staff across the department. The updated titles recognize the breadth of responsibility these leaders carry and their essential partnership with division chiefs, vice chairs, and program leaders across the enterprise.

The following title updates are now in effect:

Junila Cardona
Division Director — Otolaryngology; Pediatric Surgery

Alfonsina (Allie) Fraschilla, MBA
Division Director — Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery; Surgical Oncology; Thoracic Surgery

Ofer Holtz, MBA
Division Director — Bariatric & Minimally Invasive Surgery; Colon & Rectal Surgery; General Surgery; Trauma & Surgical Critical Care

Ania Shea
Assistant Director, Education — Department of Surgery

Ricarda Tomlin
Assistant Director, Research — Department of Surgery
