Abhishek Saxena, PhD

Abhishek Saxena is a clinical psychologist and postdoctoral associate in the Yale Department of Psychiatry. They received their doctorate from the University of Rochester and completed their clinical internship at the Early Psychosis Intervention Center (EPICENTER) at Ohio State University Medical Center. At the PRIME Clinic, they are a SIPS and diagnostic assessor, clinical researcher, and provide supervision to trainees. Clinically, they focus on culturally informed and flexible employment of evidenced based therapies. They have an interest in providing and expanding care to underserved groups, including LGBTQ+, immigrant, and racial/ethnic minority youth and young adults. Their research focuses on how psychological, interpersonal, and socioenvironmental factors interact to affect the development, identification, and treatment of severe mental illnesses in young people.
