How We Feel Longitudinal Study
Funding Source: Tambourine
Team Members: Zorana Ivcevic Pringle, Shengjie Lin, Marc Brackett
This project uses the data from the How We Feel app to ask basic questions about the nature of daily affect. The app was developed to collect data that would help scientists better understand the symptoms and the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic. The How We Feel data enabled us to examine specific daily positive and negative affect from the time of stay-at-home orders to the point when vaccines became widely available.
The How We Feel app was redesigned to focus on providing users a way to check-in their daily feelings in a granular way and offer resources to build emotion regulation skills. Ongoing research asks basic questions about the context of daily feelings – where are people, who they are with, and what they are doing when they experience particular emotions.
