We are delighted to announce the promotion of Jaime Cavallo, MD, MPHS, to the rank of associate professor of urology. Dr. Cavallo has distinguished herself as an exceptional clinician, educator, and researcher whose scholarly contributions have advanced the field of reconstructive and functional urology while enriching our department’s academic mission. Her dedication to quality and safety, mentorship, innovation in education, and excellence in patient care embody the very best of Yale Urology.
We are equally pleased to share that John W. Colberg, MD, has been awarded a Yale Medicine Distinguished Clinical Career Award in recognition of more than two decades of outstanding clinical service, academic leadership, and patient-care excellence. Since joining Yale in 1998, Dr. Colberg has built one of Connecticut’s premier referral practices in complex uro-oncology, trained a generation of urologists, and contributed to numerous clinical trials, book chapters, and peer-reviewed publications. His surgical skill, compassionate care, and commitment to service exemplify the highest standards of our clinical mission.
In addition, Su Deng, PhD, has received the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Young Investigator Award. This is an outstanding achievement and says much about her and the caliber of research faculty we have in the department.
Finally, we look forward to seeing you at the Yale Urology Bulldog Debates in New York City, November 7–9, where we will unveil the 2025 recipient of the Robert M. Weiss Distinguished Alumni Award.
