Pediatric Gastroenterology

What is your favorite part of being a doctor, healthcare worker, or researcher?

My favorite part of being a nurse is being able to share knowledge and educate families about a condition, medications, treatments. I also enjoy that we get to learn something new all the time, the medical field is constantly evolving, and we learn from our families too.

Do you have any advice for other women in medicine or those who might be interested in studying or working in medicine/research?

I would advise anyone considering a career in healthcare to just jump in and go for it, there is a place or niche for everyone.

What’s something you’re most proud of?

I am most proud of getting myself through nursing school as a young single mother. It was the best decision I made for myself and my family.
