Stamp Out Stroke

About Us

Stamp Out Stroke is a community outreach initiative led by the Yale Stroke and Vascular Neurology division. We are comprised of stroke physicians, nurses, neurology residents, and students. Our mission is to educate the New Haven and surrounding communities about stroke risk factors, warning signs, and the importance of receiving prompt care.

Events

Stamp Out Stroke travels throughout the region to advance stroke prevention and awareness. The team tailors each presentation - whether in-person or virtual - to its audience, but its mission remains the same.

In 2025, Stamp Out Stroke strengthened partnerships with local health organizations and expanded outreach efforts across New Haven. Through community education and engagement, Stamp Out Stroke continues to promote stroke awareness and prevention.

In 2025, SOS held events at:

  • Mt. Zion SDA
  • Dixwell Community House (Q House)
  • MakeHaven

  • Hall Neighborhood House (HNH)
