Once again, it has been a very busy end to the academic year, as indicated by the abundance of news shared below—and our dedicated faculty, staff, and trainees remain committed to continuing to move the work of the center forward despite sometimes dizzying changes and uncertainties in our world. It remains so important to attend to and support early career colleagues just joining the field as clinicians, educators, and researchers.
As we transition to a new academic year, we celebrated trainees graduating from eight YCSC training programs this week, and next week, we will welcome several new trainees to the department. We recently welcomed this year’s undergraduate summer interns, who joined us in early June, when we also recognized and celebrated community-selected awardees and marked two upcoming retirements.
All of this and more is outlined in more detail in the articles linked below, including a sampling of the incredible work that has been underway by some of our faculty, staff, and trainees as the need for mental health services continues to rise.
As ever, my gratitude goes out to all who conduct, contribute toward, and support this work. May you all enjoy the promise of summer that lies ahead, and perhaps some time away with loved ones.
