About
Clinical Care
Overview
Veronica Meneses, MD, is a pediatric developmental and behavioral medicine doctor who cares for children with learning, behavior, and social-emotional challenges. She works with children, teens, and their families to understand concerns such as attention problems, learning differences, autism spectrum disorder, and difficulties with behavior at home or at school.
Dr. Meneses evaluates each child’s strengths and needs using careful interviews, standardized tools, and input from parents, teachers, and other caregivers. She focuses on clear communication, helping families understand their child’s diagnosis and what it means for daily life. She partners with parents to create practical treatment plans that may include school supports, therapies, and medical treatments when needed.
As an associate professor of pediatrics and part of the Child Study Center at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Meneses is involved in education and curriculum development for future pediatricians. Her work includes designing an interdisciplinary developmental-behavioral pediatrics residency curriculum that connects medical training with community resources, with the goal of improving how pediatricians recognize and support developmental and behavioral needs.
Dr. Meneses earned her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, followed by fellowship training in developmental-behavioral pediatrics at the University of Southern California.
