XToll: eXtreme-weather Toll Tracker
To address extreme climate hazards, Dr. Kai Chen, YCCCH Faculty Director, and his lab are developing a dashboard, entitled "XToll: eXtreme-weather Toll Tracker," that provides national- and state-level estimates of premature mortality-related economic losses and county-level rankings of mortality rates, drawing from their most recent peer-reviewed research.
This tool is designed to support:
- Public awareness
- Policy action
- Adaptation strategies
- Targeted interventions
- Long-term climate resilience planning
Future expansions will include additional extreme events such as air pollution and compound climate hazards.
