DESCRIPTION:Target Audience Specialties - Gastroenterology\, Hepatology\,
 Primary Care Professions - Non-Physician\, Nurse\, Nurse Practitioner\, P
A\, Physician\, Student Overview The Yale Digestive Disease Week Review\,
hosted by faculty from Yale School of Medicine\, Department of Internal
Medicine\, Section of Digestive Diseases\, is an annual continuing medica
l education program designed to deliver timely\, clinically relevant upda
tes from the national Digestive Disease Week (DDW) meeting. Each year\, Y
ale faculty members attend DDW\, identify the most impactful research\, g
uideline updates\, and therapeutic innovations\, and then present these k
 ey learnings to regional gastroenterologists\, hepatologists\, primary-ca
re clinicians\, advanced practice providers\, and other allied health pro
fessionals. This program ensures that clinicians who are unable to attend
DDW receive a comprehensive and curated review of the newest advances in
  gastroenterology\, hepatology\, endoscopy\, microbiome science\, and dig
estive-disease management. The sessions emphasize translation of emerging
evidence into daily clinical practice\, promote interdisciplinary discus
sion\, and support improved patient outcomes across the continuum of dige
stive health care. Objectives Summarize the most important scientific upd
ates\, guideline changes\, and emerging clinical evidence presented at th
e national Digestive Disease Week meeting. Incorporate new diagnostic and
therapeutic recommendations into clinical decision-making for common and
complex GI and hepatology conditions. Evaluate the implications of new e
ndoscopic technologies\, innovations\, and procedural data for patient ma
nagement and procedural planning. Apply evidence-based strategies discuss
ed at DDW to optimize patient outcomes in areas such as colorectal cancer
  screening\, liver disease\, IBD management\, microbiome-related disorder
s\, and gastrointestinal oncology. Identify opportunities to reduce varia
tion in clinical practice by aligning care with current national standard
s and expert-reviewed data. Strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration by
translating new research findings into coordinated care approaches acros
 s gastroenterology\, hepatology\, primary care\, nutrition\, and surgical
specialties. Enhance interprofessional collaboration by integrating DDW
evidence and best practices into team-based approaches involving physicia
ns\, nurses\, advanced practice providers\, and other allied health profe
ssionals to improve communication\, coordination\, and overall quality of
digestive health care. Please see our conference website for registratio
