    Biography

    Dr. Kyungseon Choi is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Yale School of Medicine and the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) at Yale New Haven Hospital. He holds Ph.D. and M.S. in Pharmaceutical Economics, Big Data Analysis, and Policy and a Pharm.D. from Pusan National University. His expertise lies in Health Economics, Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Health Policy, with a focus on epidemiology and economic evaluation. Dr. Choi is proficient in analyzing real-world data from sources like claims databases and electronic medical records. His dissertation utilized Bayesian causal inference to study the comparative effectiveness of treatments for diabetic macular edema using real-world data and randomized clinical trial data. Dr. Choi's achievements have been recognized with awards such as the Outstanding PhD Dissertation Award in Medicine and the Young Researcher Award in Regulatory Science.
