    Biography

Dr. Elhadari is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Yale School of Medicine. Her work focuses on injury research, health systems strengthening, and improvement of hospital and emergency care service delivery, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with a focus on the Middle East and Africa, including prior academic and institutional leadership roles in Egypt.

Dr. Elhadari has extensive experience in global emergency care and health systems strengthening across the Middle East and Africa, including programme development, implementation, capacity building, and training. She has served as an expert consultant for the World Health Organization and the United Nations for Disaster Risk Reduction.

Her research integrates health services research and applied mixed-methods approaches to evaluate health service delivery, clinical processes, and implementation of care interventions in diverse settings. She works with large clinical datasets and electronic health records to assess health system performance, patient outcomes, and patterns of service utilization, generating evidence to inform policy, programme design, and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Elhadari collaborates with academic institutions, ministries of health, and international organizations to support multi-country research and technical collaboration on emergency care systems, hospital service delivery, and access to care for vulnerable populations. Her work bridges evidence generation with real-world application across diverse health system contexts.

Her research interests include injury and trauma systems, health systems strengthening, integrated service delivery, emergency and acute care systems, quality improvement and patient safety, and the organization of hospital and specialized care within broader health systems.

Dr. Elhadari is actively engaged in capacity-building initiatives and research training, mentoring students, trainees, and early-career researchers in global health and health systems research.
