    Clinical Care

    Overview

Frank Giordano, MD, specializes in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology. He cares for patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, using procedures designed to improve blood flow and reduce the risk of complications.

As an associate professor of medicine (cardiology) at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Giordano studies ways to promote myocardial angiogenesis (the development of new blood vessels in the heart muscle) and explores novel viral vectors for gene therapy. His work examines how modifying certain genes can aid in repairing damaged heart tissue and improving overall cardiac function.

Dr. Giordano earned his medical degree from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at Loyola University. He later pursued fellowships in clinical cardiology and molecular biology at the University of California, San Diego.
