The awards provide funding for preliminary and feasibility studies that will lead to larger evaluations of novel interventions or implementation strategies. The CIRA-YIGH Joint Pilot Award specifically supports research addressing the syndemics of HIV/AIDS and non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
