• 00:00I pride myself in being
• 00:01a general plastic and reconstructive
• 00:03surgeon. About fifty percent of
• 00:04my clinical practice is breast
• 00:06reconstruction.
• 00:07The other half of my
• 00:08practice is body contouring. So
• 00:10that includes breast reduction surgery.
• 00:11That includes
• 00:13post bariatric body contouring surgery.
• 00:15So patients who've had massive
• 00:16weight loss and they have
• 00:17excess skin,
• 00:19and irritation and challenges with
• 00:21that. I genuinely believe that
• 00:22I've got the best job
• 00:23in the world. Restoring form
• 00:24and function is,
• 00:26a a privilege.
• 00:27So as a reconstructive surgeon,
• 00:29obviously, we are bringing things
• 00:30back that they had previously
• 00:32either lost through trauma or
• 00:34cancer or we are making
• 00:37things better. We are enhancing
• 00:39a challenge that they've either
• 00:40dealt with for many years
• 00:42or even a week. I
• 00:43get to move the field
• 00:44forward with my pen as
• 00:46it pertains to my research
• 00:47endeavors. I get to move
• 00:48the field forward as far
• 00:49as how I go about
• 00:50educating the next generation of
• 00:51physicians and I think I
• 00:53get to carry out the
• 00:54most paramount
• 00:55and pinnacle of care.
