Brian C. Cambi, MD, has been appointed Regional Medical Director of YNHH Heart and Vascular Center (HVC) and Chief of Cardiology for the Lawrence + Memorial Delivery Network. In this role he will bring comprehensive oversight to outpatient and inpatient heart and vascular services across southeastern Connecticut and southern Rhode Island. He will also lead the strategic growth of cardiovascular services in collaboration with the L+M Delivery Network and System leadership. Quality, safety, and regulatory responsibilities will also be a critical component of his expanded role.
Dr. Cambi, a Yale Medicine cardiologist, launched the interventional cardiology program at L+M Hospital in 2008 to provide emergency angioplasty and stenting for heart attack victims. Over the last decade he has led the growth of a more comprehensive heart and vascular center including more robust vascular, heart failure, electrophysiology, and valvular heart disease services. He is Board certified in Cardiovascular disease and Interventional cardiology. Dr. Cambi completed his internship and residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is fellowship trained by the Yale School of Medicine and is an associate professor of medicine at the Yale School of Medicine.
We are excited to have Dr. Cambi in this new role to support our continued growth and development of the HVC service line. Under his leadership, our delivery network will continue to provide expert care in a wide range of heart and vascular services, including comprehensive diagnostic tests and clinical procedures, as well as outpatient cardiac rehabilitation at both hospitals.
