New Readiness Communication: Go On Green
Following a successful pilot, Go On Green is now being implemented across YNHH ORs. This standardized Epic Secure Chat notification signals that the patient, room, surgical, and anesthesia teams are ready for the next step.

GME Wellness Weeks & Save The Date
GME Wellness Week runs through May 1, featuring a full slate of activities and events organized by the Wellness Council and the Yale Resident Fellow Council. A Department of Surgery night out has been planned for May 7. RSVP via Outlook. Location details forthcoming.

Registration Open for MedEd Day
The June 4 program includes keynote speaker Kate Tellers, oral presentations, workshops, and a reception. Advanced registration is required for each session.

Student Education: Call for Faculty Volunteers
We are seeking faculty volunteers to support hands-on training for medical students at the SAP Clerkship's scheduled suture skills sessions: July 7, Sept. 29. Two hour time slots available, 12:15-4:15 p.m. Sign up to express interest.

Coming Monday: New Staff Suggestion Boxes
New suggestion boxes will provide a confidential way to share ideas and concerns related to workplace improvements, service enhancements, and operational efficiency. Boxes will be available across the New Haven surgical office footprint.

M&P Self-Assessments Due April 30
M&P staff are asked to submit completed self-assessment forms to their managers by April 30, along with the names of colleagues who can speak to their work.

New Space Request Process
The new Administrative Service Request Portal streamlines the submission process for administrative, clinical, and research space requests and eliminates the need to send emails for approvals. Access and bookmark the link on MyYSM.

Chapel Street Two-Way Traffic
The City of New Haven restored two-way traffic on Chapel Street between College and York Streets on April 21. Please use extra caution and allow additional time as you adjust to the new traffic pattern.

Clinical Librarians as Physician Partners
Clinical librarians are available for one-on-one consultations during office hours or by appointment, providing support across a range of educational and research needs to advance faculty work in the clinical setting.

YSM Student Research Day
The annual symposium will take place Tuesday, May 5. To encourage full participation, departments and divisions are asked to avoid scheduling meetings and conferences after noon.
