We are pleased to announce the opening of a search for the position of chair of surgery for Lawrence + Memorial Hospital (LMH) and Regional Surgical Services Lead.
The LMH chair and Regional Surgical Services Lead will play a leadership role in the delivery network, working to improve clinical quality, operations, safety, medical staff involvement, and the growth of surgical services at both LMH and Westerly Hospital (WH), in line with health system and department goals.
The position reports jointly to the chair of surgery at Yale School of Medicine/surgeon-in-chief for Yale New Haven Health System, and to the chief medical officer for LMH and WH.
The search is open to Yale School of Medicine faculty members with a surgical practice, preferably at LMH or WH. Detailed responsibilities are outlined in the attached job description.
This is a 50% effort role. Additional information regarding the application process and timeline will be shared with eligible faculty.
