The Department of Pediatrics held their annual Junior Faculty Retreat on March 13. The day was organized by Julie Leviter, MD and Daniel Glaser, MD, MPH, with support from Maryellen Flaherty-Hewitt, MD and Manmeet Virdee.
- Dana Dunne, MD, MHS, FACP, FIDSA spoke to attendees about psychological safety in medical education and how faculty can create a better learning environment for our learners
- Kathleen Swec, MD, FAAP presented "Finely Attuned Interactions", on which our residents are receiving training to improve connections with patients
- A number of mid-career and senior faculty come to chat with our junior faculty about their experiences and provide some advice in the domains of medical education, research, and promotions
