Clinical Care
Overview
Hallie Nelson, MD, MSCR, is an obstetrician-gynecologist who cares for patients throughout pregnancy as well as across all stages of reproductive health. She sees patients for routine gynecologic care and prenatal visits, as well as for more complex obstetric needs.
Dr. Nelson provides care for a wide range of concerns, including menstrual problems, contraception, fertility questions, and support during pregnancy and birth. She also cares for patients with high-risk pregnancies who may need closer monitoring. She works with each patient to understand their goals and preferences and explains options in clear, simple language so they can make informed choices about their care.
As an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Nelson is involved in teaching the next generation of obstetrician-gynecologists. Her academic work supports evidence-based care, which means she stays current with medical research and brings that knowledge into her clinical practice.
Dr. Nelson earned her medical degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed advanced research training, earning a graduate degree in clinical research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester and a complex family planning fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.
