Overview
Andrew Yu, MD, is an obstetrician-gynecologist who cares for people throughout pregnancy and across all stages of reproductive health. He sees patients for routine gynecologic care as well as complex obstetric needs.
Dr. Yu provides care for a broad range of conditions, including menstrual concerns, contraceptive counseling, pelvic pain, and issues related to pregnancy and childbirth. He also cares for patients with high-risk pregnancies that may require closer monitoring and coordination among different specialists. He aims to offer thorough evaluations and clear explanations so patients understand their options and feel comfortable with their care plans.
As an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Yu has academic interests in clinical informatics, which is the use of data and information systems to improve medical care. His work in this area focuses on how technology and electronic health records can support safer, more efficient care for patients.
Dr. Yu earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology, followed by a fellowship, at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.
