Dear faculty, staff, and friends:
As the academic year winds down and we prepare to celebrate our graduating chief residents and fellows, it's a good moment to reflect on the remarkable people and programs that define this department. I’m excited to share a few highlights worth recognizing together.
Seventeen Yale Ob/Gyn faculty members have been named to Connecticut Magazine's 2026 "Top Doctors" list, a distinction earned through peer nominations and rigorous vetting by Castle Connolly. Nominations reflect the trust and respect colleagues place in our clinicians, and I believe it says something meaningful about the culture of excellence our faculty have built together.
Yale Fertility Center was also recently recognized as one of America's Best by Newsweek — the only practice in Connecticut to receive that honor. The evaluation was drawn from peer nominations, accreditation data, patient satisfaction scores, and quality metrics. For the growing number of families navigating infertility, access to skilled, compassionate care is everything. That's what the physicians, nurses, scientists, and staff at Yale Fertility Center bring to their work each day.
To our graduating trainees: you came in ready to learn, and you leave having contributed in ways that have made this department better. We can't wait to celebrate you.
Sincerely,
Hugh S. Taylor, MD
