Meet Senior Administrative Assistant Carol Hribko. A long-serving member of the department, Carol is motivated by the collegial spirit of the Dermatopathology Section and brings unique experience in clinical and administrative settings.
Staff Spotlight: Carol Hribko
What is your role within Yale Dermatology, and when did you join the department?
"I am currently a senior administrative assistant for the Dermatopathology Laboratory, where I work closely with both the laboratory staff and dermatopathology faculty. Over the past 27 years in the department, I have had the opportunity of serving in a variety of roles, including participating in research activities, and more recently, serving as a fellowship coordinator. These experiences have allowed me to develop a broad understanding of the department and contribute in many meaningful ways."
What inspired you to join Yale?
"I joined Yale because I have always enjoyed working in a healthcare environment. Yale gave me the opportunity to combine my clinical experience with academic and administrative responsibilities while providing a work environment that has supported and encouraged my professional growth over the years."
What do you enjoy most about your job?
"The thing I enjoy most about my position is the opportunity to work with such an outstanding group of doctors and coworkers. I value the teamwork involved in providing the highest level of care and service to our providers and patients. Knowing that our combined efforts directly impact patient care is extremely rewarding."
What are your goals for 2026?
"Over the next year, I aim to continue providing strong support to faculty and to identify opportunities to enhance the quality of service and care we provide to our contributors and patients. I am also eager to continue learning and growing alongside the department as it expands its range of services."
Do you have any hobbies?
"In my free time, I enjoy vacationing with family and friends, hiking, reading historical fiction, growing dahlias, and cooking for my family."
