Two Yale Department of Psychiatry residents have been elected to the Yale Minority Housestaff Organization (MHO) E-Board.
Shanté Jackson-Barnes, MD, a third-year resident, will serve as community service chair, and Brandon Manor, MD, a second-year resident, will serve as recruitment chair.
MHO is an advocacy and support group for medical residents, fellows, and healthcare trainees from underrepresented in medicine backgrounds across the Yale School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Health systems. It also supports pipeline programs for New Haven high school students.
The organization works to foster inclusion, community and mentorship, recruitment and retention, and advocacy and wellbeing.
