Two Yale Department of Psychiatry affiliates attended the Breakthrough Discoveries for Thriving with Bipolar Disorder (BD2) Funded Investigators Community Meeting in March in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Hilary Blumberg, MD, John and Hope Furth Professor of Psychiatric Neuroscience and Professor of Psychiatry, as well as a faculty member in the Child Study Center and in Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, and Kutlu Kaya, PhD, postdoctoral associate, attended the meeting, which was held March 11-13.
BD2 brings together researchers, clinicians, philanthropists, and people with lived experience to study and treat bipolar disorder. Its programs and grantees search for ways to help every person with bipolar disorder thrive. Its work is focused on dramatically improving systems of care and accelerating research.
Other members of the Yale School of Medicine community also attended the Florida meeting, where awards were presented. Blumberg’s team was honored for achieving the most publications.
