Biography

Anita Shubert is a second year Masters of Public Health student at the Yale School of Public Health in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences. They received their undergraduate degree in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Michigan. Anita's research interests include LGBTQ health with a focus on stigma and discrimination, sexual health education, and mental health outcomes. More specifically, they approach their research through the lens of minority stress theory and narrative possibilities theory with the goal of developing multi-level interventions to promote the health of LGBTQ populations.
