Biography

Kimberly Sacaza is an emerging healthcare genetics professional and researcher whose work bridges molecular biology, clinical genetics, and patient-centered care. Her research interests include the integration of precision medicine in diverse and rural populations, and cognitive assessments in bilingual and cross-cultural communities.

She currently serves as a Wet Lab Technologist in the laboratory of Dr. Nicholas Christakis at the Yale University School of Medicine, where she conducts biochemical analyses via GC/MS and supports international research studies in Honduras on olfaction, microbiome, and genetics. These experiences have given her a strong foundation in both patient-centered care and scientific inquiry. Kimberly is passionate about advancing research that promotes equity and ensures marginalized groups are represented in healthcare innovation.
