It’s hard to believe another semester has come and gone–and this spring semester was unlike any other.

Since my last message, much has happened. As the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) MD Class of 2025 graduated, we are left reflecting on what has unfolded so far this year with the federal administration transition and its impact on biomedical communities–including our very own institution.

We remain committed to the school and department’s mission. We continue to persevere, together, and focus on the positive.

Below you will find some good news from our section. In addition, I’d like to acknowledge Dr. Jeff Turner’s appointment as Nephrology’s new clinical chief. Dr. Turner brings extensive experience and demonstrated leadership in clinical nephrology, and we are excited about his vision for advancing patient care, quality improvement, and clinical program development.

I’m grateful to lead this section and work alongside you. The work we do matters, and each of you plays a part.
