  • 00:04I want to thank our speakers.
  • 00:07They did a fantastic job and
  • 00:10I'm very grateful that they
  • 00:12joined us for this celebration.
  • 00:14But most of all, because they lended
  • 00:17us their brain in order to start the.
  • 00:21Thinking about the future.
  • 00:24Everybody had a lot to say,
  • 00:25and in fact we had to cancel two
  • 00:28question and answer session,
  • 00:29but it doesn't really matter because this
  • 00:32is just the beginning of a conversation.
  • 00:35It's the beginning of a conversation
  • 00:37that will be holding throughout
  • 00:39the next year and also after
  • 00:42because it's actually urgent.
  • 00:44By the time we will be thinking
  • 00:47about the liver center renewal.
  • 00:50We have to have a clear plan and a clear
  • 00:54vision of where to go for the future,
  • 00:56so this is just the
  • 00:59In appointment to future initiative
  • 01:03in which we will discuss about
  • 01:07this very important topics.
  • 01:10Originally we plan to have for tomorrow
  • 01:15the liver center retreat that was supposed
  • 01:17to be another occasion for discussion.
  • 01:20Due to the surge,
  • 01:21we had to postpone it.
  • 01:23We're still looking for the date,
  • 01:25but that would be another occasion for
  • 01:28discussion and also an other occasion
  • 01:32to showcase many of our faculty that
  • 01:35could not speak today because we
  • 01:38intended for them to be part of the
  • 01:41faculty in the liver center retreat.
  • 01:44So we'll we'll
  • 01:46We'll hear them as soon as
  • 01:49possible in in in this
  • 01:52venue.
  • 01:54I I want to thank the
  • 02:00Organizing committee.
  • 02:03In addition to me and Michael,
  • 02:06Jim Boyer and Lupe and Christine
  • 02:09Abu-Hanna and Madison Adamo,
  • 02:11they did a great job.
  • 02:13I want to thank Shannon LeGault
  • 02:15and her team
  • 02:16for being with us and they
  • 02:19Helped us throughout this online meeting.
  • 02:22They did a great job.
  • 02:24And also I I want to thank
  • 02:29The scientific committee.
  • 02:32That I called the innovators, in fact,
  • 02:35that when we devised this program,
  • 02:37we've actually worked very closely
  • 02:40to a group of junior faculties
  • 02:42that you have seen speaking today,
  • 02:45and you will see, and you will hear,
  • 02:47speaking at the retreat,
  • 02:49Many thanks to them,
  • 02:51because some of the most innovative idea
  • 02:55came through their help.
  • 03:00Thank also to the Liver Center
  • 03:03External Committee and and
  • 03:07Internal executive committee.
  • 03:08I'm not going to name all of these
  • 03:12colleagues and also a gratitude
  • 03:15goes to our liver
  • 03:18attending and colleagues that work
  • 03:20daily with us with our patients.
  • 03:24They share our effort
  • 03:27they discussed with us
  • 03:29the finding and the question that
  • 03:32every day they come up and so we can
  • 03:35understand where to direct the research
  • 03:39they all attend on the Klatskin
  • 03:42service and
  • 03:43I'm not gonna done with the thanks
  • 03:48if I don't thank the sponsor of this meeting,
  • 03:54which is actually Doctor Nathanson,
  • 03:58in fact the financial support for
  • 04:03this came out of Doctor Nathanson
  • 04:07discretionary fund and we're
  • 04:10very grateful for his sensibility
  • 04:13to work toward this end.
