Title: Structural Violence, Vulnerability, and Disempowerment in the Treatment of Serious Injection Related Infections and Production of Physician Moral Injury
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the relationship between structural violence and structural vulnerability in the treatment of injection drug use related infective endocarditis (IDU-IE)
- Recognize the ways in which structural disempowerment shapes physician moral injury in hospital settings
- Explore institutional pathways to intervention that address patient structural vulnerability and reduce physician moral injury
