Biography

Anna completed a joint high school-university program at Berkeley and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology in 2022. She thereafter enrolled at Harvard University as a recipient of a Research Scholar Initiative fellowship. There, she investigated the phase separation of proteins that control synaptic vesicle release. After one year, Anna presented her work at the Society for Neuroscience meeting and learned of parallel research in Pietro De Camilli’s lab at Yale. In 2024, she was awarded the National Science Foundation Graduate Research fellowship and was recruited to Yale as a Wu Tsai Institute Graduate Research fellow. Anna is now pursuing her thesis work in the De Camilli lab and is co-advised by Thomas Melia in the Department of Cell Biology.
