Ravi oversees the day-to-day operations of the YCGA. He has over 20 years of experience in cell and molecular biology, with extensive experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies, project consultation, data analysis, qPCR, proteomics, tissue culture, microscopy, and molecular cloning, supporting a broad range of genomic research and molecular biology projects. Prior to joining YCGA, he served as Director of the Genomics Resource Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and as General Supervisor at a Clinical Testing Center, where he led the development and implementation of molecular diagnostic assays. He also held a Research Assistant Professor appointment in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago, focusing on translational genomics and NGS-based research. Ravi earned his PhD in Molecular Microbiology and completed his postdoctoral training in Malaria Biology Research at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) and in the Departments of Pharmacology and Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago.
