2026 | Yale Point of Care Ultrasound Course

Early Bird Registration Now Open! September 9-11, 2026, in Newport, RI

The Yale University Department of Emergency Medicine, Section of Emergency Ultrasound, invites you to enhance your point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills with us. As we celebrate our 21st year, we are thrilled to bring together experts from New England, New Jersey, and New York for a comprehensive POCUS course hosted in the heart of New England.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant colors of fall while gaining vital ultrasound skills that will positively impact your practice. We are proud to continue our signature "two-track" approach, which allows participants to broaden their knowledge and focus on essential image acquisition for core areas (e.g. FAST, echo, biliary, DVT, venous access). Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to build a solid foundation in Doppler, musculoskeletal scanning, procedures, and critical care.

This year, we're excited to introduce an optional Nerve Block workshop on Thursday, September 10th. Don't miss this incredible opportunity!

Our course prioritizes hands-on learning with a low faculty-to-student ratio, featuring live models and procedural phantoms. Both tracks offer personalized lab sessions, catering to both beginners and those with ultrasound experience.

This event will also host multiple vendors, making it a great choice regardless of which machine(s) you currently own. It's an excellent opportunity to explore new technologies and compare various vendors side-by-side. This course is ideal for emergency physicians, intensivists, internal and family medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals, including advanced practice providers and nurse practitioners eager to integrate POCUS into their practice.

Join us for this exceptional learning experience and advance your ultrasound skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
