Fiellin Lauded for Mentorship and Service Research

The College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) will present the James L. Sorensen Distinguished Treatment and Service Research Mentorship Award to David Fiellin, MD, professor of medicine (general medicine), of emergency medicine, and of public health, for his outstanding commitment to mentorship in treatment and service research.

“Through his guidance, leadership, and dedication to developing emerging investigators, he has helped shape the careers of numerous scholars advancing evidence-based approaches,” said the prize announcement. Fiellin, who is also director of the Program in Addiction Medicine, will receive the award at the upcoming CPDD meeting, to be held in June.
