Since 2021, the MOMS Partnership has brought evidence-based, culturally responsive maternal mental health programming into NYC DHS family shelter providers BronxWorks and CAMBA, Inc., reaching mothers facing high barriers to care.

Across the network, MOMS Partnership sites continue to demonstrate what long-term commitment to families looks like. Even in a challenging funding environment, partners in places as different as Bangor, Maine, and New York City are finding ways to sustain and deliver MOMS programming.

In Maine, MOMS programming is based within the BangorHousing community. In her role as Resident Services Director, Liz Marsh oversees programs that connect residents to supportive services and promote self-sufficiency. Liz has taken a strategic approach to program sustainability by blending and braiding funding from philanthropic sources alongside federal grants. This layered funding model has allowed Maine MOMS@BangorHousing to maintain program continuity while ensuring that mothers continue to have access to the support, connection, and skills that make a meaningful difference in their daily lives.

At Charles B. Wang Community Health Center (CBWCHC) based in New York City, the MOMS team has recently and significantly expanded with new MOMS clinicians and CMHAs, who will deliver culturally adapted MOMS programming in both Mandarin and English-language groups. The CBWCHC MOMS team continues to broadly reach mothers through the health center as well as through community partners, building from trusted relationships to engage mothers in MOMS.

These efforts reflect more than program continuation; they speak to deep local ownership and belief in the MOMS model. Across sites, teams are adapting creatively, leveraging partnerships, demonstrating how aligned investments can work together to support maternal mental health and family well-being, and prioritizing the needs of mothers and families in their communities.

We are incredibly grateful for these partners who are not only maintaining momentum, but modeling what it means to lead with commitment, resilience, and purpose. Their work is a powerful reminder that lasting impact is built through consistency, trust, and shared vision.
