YCSC Skill-Building Workshop: Academic Writing for Clinicians—From Practice Knowledge to Published Scholarship
For Yale Child Study Center community members
All YCSC faculty, staff, and trainees are welcome to join this hybrid workshop introducing the process of turning clinical and programmatic insights into publishable academic work. Participants will learn how to identify ideas worthy of dissemination, structure manuscripts for professional journals, and navigate the submission and peer-review process. The session emphasizes the unique value of practice-based knowledge, reflective writing, and the ethical responsibilities of publishing in a relational field.
This hybrid workshop will take place in person at 350 George Street in room 305D, also available via Zoom. The meeting link can be found in the department Outlook calendar.
This event is part of an on-going pilot program, YCSC Mentorship BRIDGE, which stands for Building Relationships; Inspiring Development, Growth, and Empowerment. The program involves innovative approaches to professional development and mentorship, initially launched in the spring of 2025 with a goal to expand the mentorship and professional development offerings available to faculty, staff, and trainees across the department.
Additional program offerings for the fall semester will be announced via YCSC Internal Announcements on SharePoint. All in the YCSC community are welcome to participate and learn from the activities that align with their professional development needs and interests.
