What is the purpose of this trial?

We are enrolling participants who participated in a metabolic health study (for example with Dr. Sonia Caprio, Mary Savoye RD, or Dr. Nicola Santoro) as a child or teen. We created the Legacy Collaborative to learn how former participants are doing now as adults. We want to learn about your current health and make sure you are getting the care you need. This includes things like type 2 diabetes, blood pressure, heart and liver health, cancer, and women’s health. We are inviting participants to join our Legacy Biorepository. If you join, we will:

    • Talk with you by phone or send you an online survey (your choice) to learn about your health.
    • Invite you for a visit to take blood pressure, body measurements, and blood for cholesterol & glucose.
    • Share your results with you (if you want), answer your questions and offer referrals if needed.
    • Offer opportunities to join future studies that may benefit you or provide valuable health information.

Your health is important to us. Because your metabolic health was studied early in life, your experience can also help doctors and researchers learn how health changes over time and how to improve care for others. If you are interested, please call, email or visit our website.
