    Biography

    Linda Torv (she/her), MPH, is an experienced manager in academic research and operations with over 12 years of experience in higher education research and grant administration. She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Public Health and her Master of Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University.

    Linda currently serves as the Community Engagement and Participant Recruitment Program Manager at the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation, where she leads recruitment, retention, and participant navigation strategies for clinical research programs. She oversees call center and outreach operations, supervises recruitment staff, partners with investigators and community stakeholders, and uses data-driven evaluation to enhance participant engagement and ensure regulatory compliance.

    Previously, she served as Program Manager for the Education Collaboratory (PI: Dr. Christina Cipriano) within the Yale Child Study Center, where she led the development of research administration infrastructure, oversaw lab operations, coordinated multi-sector partnerships across K–12 schools, universities, and agencies, and managed budgets, grant reporting, and stakeholder communications while supporting trainee development and belonging initiatives. She also served as Program Manager at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, where she managed the center’s research portfolio, integrated assessment systems, and built operational structures to scale research and evaluation efforts.

    Before joining Yale, Linda led statewide nutrition, fitness, and gardening initiatives through the University of Connecticut’s Department of Extension, supported by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture.

    Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two sons, and family dog.
