Iryiana Rivera, LMSW

Iryiana Rivera, LMSW, is an Intensive Family Preservation Program Clinician at the Yale Child Study Center. She is a first-generation college graduate who earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences and her Master of Social Work from the University of Connecticut.

During her graduate training, Iryiana completed clinical internships at Wilbur Cross High School in New Haven and the Yale Child Study Center, where she worked closely with monolingual Spanish-speaking families. Her commitment to culturally and linguistically responsive care has been recognized through several honors, including the CJK Dragonfly Social Work Fellowship. She is also a fellow of the Council on Social Work Education’s Minority Fellowship Program and a member of the inaugural Adelante Connecticut Cohort, a program that supports bilingual Spanish-speaking social workers.

Iryiana is passionate about serving children and families from diverse backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting monolingual Spanish-speaking communities in the New Haven area. Her professional interests include understanding the impact of trauma on individuals and family systems, and promoting healing through culturally attuned, family-centered care.
