    Biography

    Ilana Seager van Dyk, Ph.D. (she/her), is a postdoctoral associate at the Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Seager van Dyk’s research program employs experimental and longitudinal methods to understand the social and emotional mechanisms underlying health disparities in populations under chronic stress (e.g., LGBTQ folks) during critical developmental transitions (e.g., adolescence). A trained clinician, Dr. Seager van Dyk endeavors to use her experience providing evidence-based psychological care to youth and families to inform this program of research, with the ultimate goal of translating her research into clinical care.
