    Biography

    Dr. Clarisse San Juan is an Interventional Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician at Yale University School of Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation in the Division of PM&R and has a secondary appointment in the Department of Anesthesia. Following completion of her PM&R residency at SUNY Downstate Medical School, Dr. San Juan completed her fellowship in Pain Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. San Juan provides clinical care to patients at Yale New Haven Hospital, Long Wharf Spine Center and Yale New Haven Health - North Haven.

    Dr. San Juan provides care for patients with musculoskeletal and joint pain, back pain, chronic pain, overuse injuries and sports-related injuries. She provides a comprehensive treatment comprising of physical therapy, minimally invasive non-surgical procedures including epidural steroid injections, nerve blocks and radio frequency ablation and alternate modalities to relieve pain. She has a special interest in neuromodulation using peripheral nerve stimulation and spinal cord stimulation and regenerative medicine using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stems cells using bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) for treatment of chronic pain.
