On Friday, September 26, 2025, Yale's Review of Advances in Oncology from the 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting was held at the New Haven Lawn Club. The keynote speaker for the event was Veronica Chiang, MD, FAANS, professor of neurosurgery, director of Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and director of the Yale Gamma Knife Center. Yale's Review of Advances in Oncology aims to provide hematologists, medical oncologists, and oncology nurses with Yale's perspective on current data and information presented at the ASCO® Annual Meeting 2025.
The agenda included topics on emerging therapies, clinical trials, and best practices in cancer care—delivered through expert-led lectures and case-based discussions. Opening remarks were given by Roy S. Herbst, MD, PhD, Ensign Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology) and professor of pharmacology, deputy director of Yale Cancer Center, and chief of hematology/medical oncology at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital.
