The Breast Cancer Specialty Team at Smilow Cancer Hospital in Guilford brings together clinicians whose focus is caring for patients with breast cancer on the Connecticut Shoreline. This enables patients to meet with multiple, highly-skilled Smilow Cancer Hospital specialists in breast imaging, medical oncology, breast surgery, radiation oncology, and reconstructive/ plastic surgery. This team approach provides newly diagnosed patients with a carefully determined, personalized treatment plan focused on providing the most comprehensive, effective care possible. Oncology nurse coordinators, social workers, dietitians, clinical research staff, palliative care expertise, and survivorship planning are also available for our patients.
