    1 Minute Read

Milena Radoman, PhD, associate research scientist in psychiatry, has been selected to receive the inaugural Career-Spanning Mentorship Award from the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP).

Her application was chosen from a highly competitive pool of 47 submissions by the Senior Leaders Advising on Careers Committee.

The three-year award will support Radoman’s participation in the 64th ACNP Annual Meeting, held January 12–15, 2026, at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in Nassau, Bahamas, as well as the subsequent annual meetings in 2027 and 2028. The award provides funding to support in-person attendance and sustained face-to-face mentorship with her senior mentor, Dr. Kelvin Lim, including dedicated time for professional development discussions.

The Career-Spanning Mentorship Award recognizes outstanding mentor–mentee pairs and is designed to foster longitudinal mentorship relationships that support career development across stages of academic psychiatry and neuroscience.

Radoman is a neuroscientist whose work focuses on substance misuse and its co-occurrence with psychiatric and physical conditions, particularly chronic pain. Her current research uses behavioral, psychophysiological, and neuroimaging approaches to examine how the brain’s response to uncertainty links negative affect, alcohol use disorder, and pain.
