Adriana Kahn, MD, assistant professor of medicine (medical oncology), received an Early Career Investigator Award from METAvivor, a nonprofit group exclusively devoted to metastatic cancer research.
Kahn’s research project addresses one of the most devastating realities faced by patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer: the development of brain metastases, which occur in up to a third of these patients and are associated with extremely poor survival outcomes.
