Dozens of faculty and residents in the Yale Department of Psychiatry gathered in San Francisco on May 16-20 for the 2026 American Psychiatric Association Annual Meeting.
At least five department affiliates were honored with awards, including Dale Sebastian, MBBS, MD, Fellow of the APA; Phelan Maruca-Sullivan, MD, and Katherine Kennedy, MD, recipients of the 2026 Irma Bland Award; Ryan O’Dell, MD, PhD, recipient of the 2026 Hartford-Jeste Award for Future Leaders in Geriatric Psychiatry; and Harun Khan, MD, MPH, recipient of the APA Public Psychiatry Fellowship.
Many other affiliates gave talks and presented posters during the five-day meeting. Others gathered for dinner and enjoyed socializing with current and former colleagues.
